Lesson on inferred personal data lectured by Alessandra Silveira at the Master’s Degree in EU law (Curricular Unit “European Union Law and Policies I”, Module “Digital citizenship in the digital decade”)
On 9 February 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM, it was lectured by Alessandra Silveira, academic coordinator of JM Centre of Excellence CitDig, a lesson to students of the Master’s Degree in EU law (Curricular Unit “European Union Law and Policies I”, Module “Digital citizenship in the digital decade”) on the use of personal data in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) systems, seeking to unravel the extent to which the General Data Protection Regulation allows the defense of individuals in the face of some AI applications, especially with regard to profiling and automated decisions.
