Lesson on personal data protection and administrative interoperability, taught by Joana Covelo Abreu in the Master’s Degree in Law & Informatics (UC “Privacy and Data Protection”; Module “Digital citizenship from the example of data protection: how to pursue the effectiveness of the CFREU”)

On February 22nd, from 9 AM to 1 PM, Joana Covelo de Abreu, key staff member of the CitDig Center of Excellence, taught a class to students of the Master’s Degree in Law & Informatics (UC “Privacy and Data Protection”, Module “Digital citizenship from the example of data protection: how to pursue the effectiveness of the CFREU”) on the protection of personal data in the context of interoperable systems in the EU,  focusing on the articulation of legal standards applicable to national public administrations and EU institutions, bodies and agencies (Regulations 679/2016 and 2018/1725), as well as Regulation 2024/903 (Interoperable Europe Regulation) establishing measures for a high level of public sector interoperability across the Union.
